FIRST TIME @ HOT & SOUL

Helpful Hints, Reminders & Student Guidelines

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to class. 
  • Hydrate well before and after class. It is best to replace electrolytes before class begins
  • Remove shoes before entering the Yoga Studio.
  • Use restroom prior to class beginning to avoid disrupting your practice
  • Mat, large towel and water only permitted in Yoga Studio. 
  • Grippy socks and small towel required for all barre classes.
  • Please leave ALL personal belongings in change rooms. This includes CELL & SMART PHONES. Remember 90% of stress is self induced.
  • Place large towel over Yoga mat to prevent slipping and dripping sweat on the floor.
  • Stay on your Yoga mat unless instructed by Teacher.
  • Avoid wearing perfumes or scents in class.

           Your practice begins when you enter the room and we encourage you to meditate              and stretch before class and kindly ask that you : 

  • Remain SILENT while you are in the Yoga Studio. Please enjoy chatting outside of the studio either before or after class.
  • Lie on your back, head toward the long mirrors.
  • We recommend if you have taken more than 5 classes to please fill the first row. 1st time students should place their mat in the back row.
  • Staying present on your own mat will help you stay focused. At the conclusion of your practice you should feel as if you were the only person in the room.
  • The mat is available to you at anytime to take rest, be kind and loving to yourself and accept where you are. Always listen to your body.
  • If you feel dizzy, lightheaded or nauseous take rest on your mat in stillness, it will pass. Please try not to leave the room.
  • Advise teacher of any pre-existing injuries or special conditions prior to class.
  • Always cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing & use tissues. Keep used tissues on your Yoga Mat under your towel and dispose of after class. Please do not leave used tissues on the floor.
  • Please wait for the Instructor to finish class before leaving the room. If you must leave class early, please advise instructor prior to class.
  • Never enter or leave the room while class is in meditation.
  • Always sign in before class.
